A Message from our Principal

Dear Parents,

It is my pleasure to be a part of two schools known for their academic excellence at a state level and all the way down to our local level. I am delighted to be your principal at Mountain Meadows Primary School and Capps Middle School. Thank you for your support!

What a challenging past few months we have had in our communities across the nation. School will officially begin on Monday, August 10 with the first week being virtual. Watch for messages from your child's teacher as to how this will occur. In-person instruction will begin on Monday, August 17. We will take all necessary safety precautions and follow guidelines set forth by our state. Our classrooms will look and function a little different than they have in the past. Our staff will follow social distancing guidelines within their classrooms. We will require staff to wear a protective face mask when social distancing is unable to be met due to educational reasons. We encourage students to wear a face mask. We will issue each student a customized Mustang face mask. We made modifications to our cafeteria, playground schedules, library schedules, and rotation from class to class to minimize contact from one grade level to another. Capps and MMP will start school at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. to accommodate our modified busing schedule that will run at two different times to accommodate social distancing. Buses will pick up MHS/MJHS students first and drop off and then pick up K through six students and drop off for a school start time of 8:30 a.m. To minimize exposure, I am asking that if you drop your child off at school that you do so at the curb and refrain from entering the school building with your child. Also, there will be no early morning recess. Please do not drop your child off before 8:15 a.m.

Please read Principal Maner's entire K–6 back to school letter and the K–6 COVID procedures document.
