At the Heber-Overgaard Unified School District, we’re committed to making a significant contribution to the general health and well-being of every student. By providing nutritious meals, we help our students reach their highest potential and teach them the value of wholesome eating.

For your convenience, we post our school menus on our website monthly. Substitutions are occasionally necessary, so your child may see slight variations from what we post.

SUN Bucks

Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (Summer-EBT/SUN Bucks) provides grocery buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children who lose access to free or reduced-price school meals when schools are closed for the summer. Please see our summer feeding procedures and more information on the Arizona Department of Education website.

Public Notice

In accordance with the requirements in Section 12(l)(1)(A)(ii) of the NSLA, Arizona has requested a waiver to defer the January 1, 2025, compliance date for the Coordinated Services Plan (CSP) for the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer for Children Program (Summer EBT) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The waiver implementation date and time period is January 1 through December 31, 2025. The Arizona Department of Education will continue to provide information about 2025 Summer Nutrition Programs through multiple methods, including the agency website.

Free & Reduced Breakfast/Lunch Information

Would you like to make a difference in your child’s school? Here’s how! Every year, your family receives a free and reduced price meal application. It’s important to fill out this form and return it to school for two reasons:

  1. The application informs the district if your child is eligible for free or reduced price school meals.
  2. Applications are used to match funding our school receives for student resources such as books and classroom furniture.

The application is easy to fill out, and you don’t have to worry about your information being shared with others, because application information is confidential. Support the school breakfast program today by completing your application. If you have questions, please contact our district office.
